WEEK 7: PERSUASION

Persuasion is the art of convincing or making somebody do something.

Those expressions that express persuasion are:

- Are you sure..?
- I can assure you that...
- I really think you should...
- Why don't you...?
- What about...?
- I can guarantee...
- I'm sure...
- I saw it myself.
- Honestly, it's true.
- Just this one!

A hypothesis is a theory or explanation by means of observation that still has to be proven.

The six most common forms of hypotheses are:

  • Simple Hypothesis.
  • Complex Hypothesis.
  • Empirical Hypothesis.
  • Null Hypothesis.
  • Alternative Hypothesis.
  • Logical Hypothesis.
  • Statistical Hypothesis.
In this hypothesis about personality in applied psychology https://www.pasf.org/radhyp.htm, the author asserts: "Many have made connections between personality variables and intelligence, but when they consider causative direction at all, it is that personality "causes" differential aptitudes". He speculates wondering questions such as "How does he do that?", and he bases his writing on experience and supports it with some research explanations. Hence, I contemplate it may be an empirical hypothesis.

Yesterday I saw Kill Bill Volume 2 for the course of Cultura Anglo-Norteamericana and besides this week I am going to focus on my TFG and research on feminism.
